From Traditional Art

Posted July 4th, 2010 by Olga Kirnos with Comments Off on From Traditional Art

A little bit of background about myself and how I entered the world of Make Up Artistry.

I started practicing traditional arts when I was very young (at the age of five technically and at the age of twelve professionally). My first memories are of when I used to ask my grandfather to draw animals, dinosaurs and landscapes for me and I used to sit watch him create these vibrant images for hours.

I remember the exact moment when I realized I wanted to pursue Art. When I was five, I drew a picture for the first time and I showed it to my mom, she said “oh you didn’t draw it, grandpa did”, I felt so happy that she thought so that it fueled me to keep drawing more and more and get better.

Art has always been my passion and my focus ever since then. I would draw for hours and get lost in my drawing for very long hours at times. My favorite styles were Traditional, Classical and surrealism- they still are.

I built up a strong portfolio by high school and had been accepted into a Major Art course. I always had a clear vision to have a career in the arts, but it took some time to find the right medium.

I will keep posting more of my work periodically, but here is a first collection of some of my previous work:
